MEDICAL UNIVERSITY – SOFIA is the administrator of the personal information you (the data subject) give us. We collect the following personal information from you: PIN, three names; a copy of the ID card; Permanent residence; Phone, Email, Birthplace, Citizenship, Marital Status, Photo, Signature, Resume, Copies of Diplomas, Health Status Information, Income, Family Members.

2. Why do we need it?

We need your personal information to provide you with the following legitimate processing services:

Conducting a learning activity
Conducting exams
Scientific activity
International exchange
Conducting internships, internships
Posting exam results on the University / Faculty website
Scholarships
Visiting the University / Faculty Library
Issuance of certificates, references and certificates
Graduation and European Diploma Supplement
Accommodation in a hostel

3. What do we do with your Personal Data?

Your personal data are processed at the MEDICAL UNIVERSITY – SOFIA located in Bulgaria, 1431 Sofia, Acad. Ivan Geshov No 15. The hosting and storage of your data is carried out at the address of the Rector and our other divisions.

The categories of recipients to whom your personal information may be disclosed include:

Law enforcement, judicial and experts, other state (police, investigation, prosecutor’s office, DANS, Anti-Corruption and Seizure Commission, etc.), insofar as there is a legal obligation to provide of such data
IT vendors for the purpose of development and technical support of MU-Sofia systems
Foreign educational institutions
Courier organizations, tour operators
Medical institutions
Auditors and consultants who check compliance by MU-Sofia with external and internal standards and requirements;
Other third parties by virtue of a regulatory requirement
Your personal data is processed by manual and automated means and will not be subject to automated decision making and profiling.

4. How long do we keep them?

According to the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and in accordance with the Data Retention Policy, detention shall not exceed the periods specified in the current version of the Nomenclature of Cases with the retention periods of the MOU-SOFIA, approved by the Rector and the State Archives-Sofia. After this period, your personal data stored with us will be permanently destroyed. All personal information stored by us for notices will be stored by us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

5. What are your rights?

You have the right to access the personal data that MU-Sofia holds for you, to correct errors, to request deletion or to object to the processing of your personal data. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you may do so only in respect of your personal data, which does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of your data (Articles 6 and 7 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Union Parliament and the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC).
